LASE – THE BEST PRACTICE UNIVERSITY!

On September 22, 2022 the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,

the Ministry of the Interior, and 15 Latvian universities, including the Latvian Academy

of Sports Education in the person of vice-rector of studies Andra Fernātesigned an

agreement on good practice in attracting foreign students and providing studies. Universities

received Best Practice University Certificate, which confirms that they fulfill the criteria of

good management and responsibly attract foreign students and provide high-quality studies.

MOTION Project Concludes

Following the full analysis of results captured during the implementation stages of the project, one of the last meetings of Somatoscopic and anthropometric indicator impact on performance” (MOTION) project took place in Elva, Estonia at the beginning of April 2022.


The main goal for the meeting was to develop specific, measurable and realistic performance indicators for effective performance management in youth athletes. Partners worked towards finalising a set of exercises which would support and help to correct movement performance thus improving physical condition and health.

Final seminar of this project took place in premises of Latvian Academy of Sport Education (LASE) at the end of May in which project partners reviewed the key results. Further on, methodology and exercises for football coaches that can be used in daily process to improve the performance of football players by adjusting their myoskeletal system were demonstrated and shared with the audience.

As the project concludes we would like to express appreciation to everyone involved in delivering this idea into existence, mainly Latvian Academy of Sport Education (LASE), Siauliai Football Federation, FK Elva. More so, we are sending a special thank you and gratefulness to Dynamo Kyiv, their professionalism, guidance and contribution have remained unchanged even in the times of atrocity in Ukraine.

LASE foreign student Katerina Krejci – the bronze medallist of the Europeen U24 Championship in modern pentathlon!

Katerina Krejci (the Czech Republic) is the 3rd year student of LASE Professional bachelor higher education programme “Sport Science”. Now already for the third year she is also training in modern pentathlon in Latvia. In the middle of November, this year K.Krejci as a member of Latvia national team participated in the European U24 Championship and won the bronze medal!

We are grateful, happy, and excited to announce that our project has been selected and approved by European Union's Erasmus+ programme which is a funding scheme to support activities in the fields of Education, Training, Youth and Sport. Baltic Football School together with Latvian Academy of Sport Education (LASE), Siauliai Football Federation (Lithuania), FC Elva (Estonia) and Dynamo Kyiv (Ukraine) we will be working together to further develop the youth sports sector.
